1958
  • The JUN brand is born with the establishment of JUN Co., Ltd.
1964
  • JUN's first boutique store opens on Miyuki-dori in Tokyo's Ginza district.
1968
  • ROPÉ brand launch signals JUN's move into women's fashion.
1969
  • Franchise Store No. 1 opens, a first for the Japanese fashion industry, starting a chain of franchise stores in all major Japanese cities.
  • CAPA Co., Ltd. (today, part of the Interior Department) is established.
1970
  • Head office functions are relocated and a new sales head office is organized.
1972
  • JUN Inc. (today, J House Co., Ltd.) is established to independently manage and operate our hospitality services department, including restaurants and sidewalk cafes.
  • Café de Ropé opens in Tokyo's Omotesando district.
1975
  • JUN Classic Country Club opens in Nakagawa-machi, Nasu-gun, Tochigi prefecture, as new type of golf club.
1976
  • JUN Fashion Board begins operations as a venture into new advertisement media.
  • BASSETT WALKER brand launched.
1977
  • Inaugural Gene Sarazen JUN Classic golf tournament is held.
  • The former J.U.N Co., Ltd. is established to separate our directly-operated boutique business and strengthen retail department sales.
1979
  • Radio program planning and production business begins with the establishment of J.U. Agency Co., Ltd. (today, J-PLANET Co., Ltd.).
  • Wine production and marketing business commences with the establishment of Chateau Jun.
1987
  • New head office building is built in Tokyo's Minato Ward to bolster our head office functions.
  • JAYRO brand launched.
1990
  • Distribution center (Dista Co., Ltd.) in Shirakawa, Fukushima prefecture, opens as part of improvements to our distribution network.
  • Ropé Club, a sister course to the JUN Classic Country Club, opens in Shioya-machi, Shioya-gun, Tochigi prefecture.
  • Falkland Co., Ltd. is established.
  • pour la frime brand launched.
  • Adam et Ropé brand launched.
1992
  • Distribution center is built and starts operations in Shimodate, Ibaraki prefecture, as part of improvements to our distribution network.
1993
  • GAMI brand launched.
1997
  • Begin selling music CDs, records, and art books with the establishment of bonjour records.
1998
  • Ropé Picnic brand launched.
2000
  • Susumu Sasaki is appointed CEO & President. Tadashi Sasaki is appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors.
  • JAYROwhite brand launched.
  • Representative office opens in Shanghai, China, as a base for overseas production.
2002
  • Optitude brand launched.
  • Pinceau brand launched.
  • montoak café and lounge opens in Tokyo's Omotesando district through a joint investment with Heads Ltd.
2003
  • Begin importing, producing, and marketing the united bamboo brand.
2006
  • LyricisM, an original Optitude label, participates in the Fall-Winter Tokyo Collection.
  • Tailor JUN Customize business opens.
2007
  • Ropé Picnic Passage brand launched.
  • Love Couleur brand launched.
2009
  • JUNRed brand launched.
2010
  • JUN&ROPÉ brand launched.
